Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) Manager

The LLM / Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) Manager will lead efforts to ensure its products rank prominently in responses generated by large language models (LLMs) and answer engines across the UK and US markets. This is a new and fast-evolving role requiring someone who is deeply curious, commercially aware, and proactive in shaping best practice in an emerging discipline closely related to SEO.

  1. 20 days plus bank Holidays paid holiday 
  2. Bonus of between 0 and 20% depending on performance of the business across Revenue and Profit. 

Working Environment: Remote (working for a UK-company)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Duty 1: AEO & LLM Optimisation Strategy
    • Lead the company’s push to ensure products rank for relevant prompts across major LLMs in the UK and US
    • Develop and apply an understanding of LLM behaviour and Answer Engine Optimisation theory
    • Translate traditional SEO knowledge into effective AEO strategies
    • Identify relevant questions and prompts where Morph Costumes products should appear
    Duty 2: Learning, Innovation & Best Practice
    • Continuously immerse themselves in learning AEO best practices through:
      • YouTube content
      • Webinars and online courses
      • Mastermind groups and industry communities
    • Stay on top of rapid changes in the AEO and LLM landscape
    • Use this knowledge to inform internal strategy and external execution
    Duty 3: Agency Management, Performance & Reporting
    • Work with the current agency and/or select and manage new agencies to deliver AEO objectives
    • Successfully lead and collaborate with external partners to ensure best practices are implemented
    • Track performance against agreed AEO goals and communicate progress clearly across the business
    • Set realistic, data-backed targets and deliver against them

Technical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of traditional SEO fundamentals
  • Good theoretical understanding of LLMs and Answer Engine Optimisation
  • Experience successfully working with and leading external agencies
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance experimentation and ROI
  • Experience working in a fast-changing or emerging discipline preferred
  • SEO and performance tracking tools
  • Content and analytics platforms
