Freelance Digital Content Manager (Corporate)

The Digital Content Manager role will include but is not limited to managing and creating client-focused digital content for the client's social media pages and digital platforms such as web and Google advertising platforms.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and increase brand awareness: Use the clients brand positioning and tone of voice to create content appealing to the identified target market.
  • Write, edit, proofread, and ensure timely updates to the project team and internal stakeholders.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that builds meaningful connections.
  • Generating, managing, and overseeing social media content through collaboration with business stakeholders within various sectors of the company.
  • Conceptualizing maverick ideas with Conceptual team/Graphic designer or Creative Director.
  • Edits existing copy to bring it in line or on par with the clients brand postponing/tone & style.
  • Ensure professional Plain Language standards are maintained, by providing a reviewing function to the communications team for all communications on behalf of key stakeholders.
  • Give structure and optimize communications to different audiences, including channel representatives, financial advisers, and clients.
  • Works with the Traffic & Studio manger to ensure that all is proofread & approved before any copy is published for consumer or client consumption.
  • Executing digital and social media strategies through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Monitoring reports, platforms, and user engagement to suggest content optimization.
  • Frequently improving social data/metrics insights and best practices through capturing and analyzing and then acting on information.
  • Initiate new communication projects, in collaboration with various stakeholders


  • 5+ years experience in a similar role
