Freelance Digital Media Planner
Budget: R30 400 (take-home). Location: JHB (hybrid). Working type: Hybrid, 4 days in office. (Fridays are remote). Contract Duration: 2 months with possibility of extension. Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Develop and execute digital media plans aligning with client objectives, target audience, and budgets.
- Implement tracking tags and pixels for campaign performance monitoring and data collection.
- Manage direct relationships with publishers, negotiating media buys for optimal placements and pricing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date chase lists to ensure campaign schedules are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media owners, ensuring they meet commitments and objectives.
- Oversee the launch of digital media campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of creative assets to publishers.
- Continuously monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide data-driven optimisation recommendations.
- Generate detailed reports on campaign performance, offering insights and improvement recommendations.
- Track and manage campaign budgets, efficiently allocating resources while adhering to client constraints.
- Proven experience in digital media planning and buying, preferably in a local market context.
- 3+ years experience in similar role
- Proficiency in digital media platforms, ad servers, and analytics tools.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with media owners.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of SEO and SEM is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field is preferred.
