Freelance Mid Copywriter
Retainer: R34 200 (freelancer take-home). Contract duration: 3 months starting ASAP. Location: remote. Availability: full-time freelancers only (40 hours).
- Receive client briefs and collaborate with account managers and creative teams to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand guidelines.
- Develop innovative and impactful digital concepts for social and digital platforms that align with client requirements and effectively communicate key messages.
- Write persuasive and engaging copy for various digital mediums, including social media posts, website content, digital ads, email campaigns, and more.
- Collaborate with designers, art directors, and other team members to integrate copy seamlessly into visual concepts.
- Ensure all copy is grammatically correct, consistent, and adheres to brand tone and voice guidelines.
- Edit and proofread copy for accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, digital marketing strategies, and best practices for social and digital platforms.
- Conduct research to gather information and insights for content development.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior copywriters, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (+4 years) as a Copywriter, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in digital concepts and social/digital platform copywriting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through words.
- Ability to understand client briefs and interpret requirements accurately, ensuring the delivery of content that meets client expectations.
- Proficiency in crafting engaging and persuasive copy across various digital platforms.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, their features, and best practices for content creation.
- Strong research skills to gather information and insights for content development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, account managers, and clients.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and optimization techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in writing for different industries and adapting writing style to match various brand voices is a plus.
