Paid Media Specialist

The Digital Specialist: Paid Media will be responsible for the supervision, planning and delivery of the integrated Digital paid media strategy (including OTA, Paid Social Media, GDN and Search). The aim is to drive business acquisition into new and existing markets as well as to stimulate online room sales. This includes aligning individual digital strategies (such as SEO, Content and overall digital paid media integration) with the main digital strategy. The position will also be responsible for using insights and customer intelligence to deliver end-to-end programmes and results, drive strategic campaigns for large events, and manage tactical day-to-day campaign deliverables.

Main Responsibilities

  • Devise an integrated implementation plan for digital paid media across all digital assets and platforms.
  • Monitor paid media channels to ensure that the delivery and objectives are rolled out as per the plan.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of paid media campaigns, facilitating any amendments where required.
  • Perform data analysis of paid activity on a monthly basis, using insights to plan, test, execute, measure and refine programmes.
  • Supervise and quality-assure team processes and the delivery of operational objectives in line with standards.
  • Liaise with business units and Group marketing on content produced for digital channels.

Technical Requirements & Experience:

  • A 3-Year Bachelor’s Degree / NQF Level 7 in marketing, communication or journalism is required.
  • GAIQ certification (Google Analytics Certification) is an advantage.
  • 5 years of successful experience in paid digital media planning and campaign management is necessary.
  • Must have a track record of working with SEO.
  • Experience with Online Travel Agents (OTA) platforms and knowledge of the leisure, hospitality or entertainment industry is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with CRM is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Facebook Advert Manager
  • Twitter advertising Platform
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Office Suite
  • Basic coding knowledge (HTML) and experience with popular content management systems
