Copywriter (Contract)

Retainer: R48 000 per month

Location: Stellenbosch, Cape Town

Working Type: 2 days in-office

Contract Length: ASAP - 28 February 2026

Main Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
  Develop impactful copy for emails, SMS, in-app messages, and programmatic advertising, mindful of platform constraints. Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT4) to scale content.
• Integrated Campaigns:
  Collaborate on digital-first campaign planning and execution, ensuring consistent messaging across 80% digital and 20% traditional channels.
• Design Studio Collaboration:
  Work closely with the internal design team, providing strategic input and ensuring copy aligns with brand voice and project goals. Uphold relationships through clear and regular communication.
• Figma Integration:
  Use Figma collaboratively to integrate copy within design workflows.
• Responsive HTML Content:
  Apply knowledge of responsive HTML to ensure content displays effectively on all devices.
• On-site Collaboration:
  Attend meetings once or twice a week in Stellenbosch to align with internal teams.

Requirements and Technical Skills:

• Relevant degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Copywriter with a strong portfolio
• Experience working on integrated campaigns, especially digital-first
• Responsive HTML
• Figma
• Microsoft Word & Excel
• ChatGPT / AI prompt tools
• Microsoft Teams
