Head of Operations & Client Delivery (Contract)
We are looking for a senior, hands-on Head of Operations & Client Delivery to take ownership of client delivery across a portfolio of digital accounts. Rather than simply coordinating projects, this person will own client relationships end-to-end, turning ambiguous requests into clear decisions, managing delivery through GitHub and AI-powered workflows, solving operational challenges, and ensuring commitments are delivered. The successful candidate will work closely with the founder initially before becoming the primary point of contact for their client portfolio. This role offers a clear progression path toward Operations Director or COO as responsibility expands.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own the operational relationship and delivery health for an assigned portfolio of clients.
- Lead client meetings, uncover underlying business problems, and translate them into actionable work.
- Manage delivery through GitHub issues, projects and milestones.
- Direct and verify AI-generated work outputs, ensuring quality and accountability.
- Prioritise competing client requirements and manage delivery expectations.
- Coordinate developers, designers, AI agents and other specialists to achieve successful delivery.
- Investigate and resolve complex or poorly defined client issues.
- Communicate proactively with clients before issues arise.
- Identify delivery risks, scope creep and operational improvements.
- Convert recurring client requests into repeatable services and reporting solutions.
- Complete hands-on operational work where this is the fastest route to successful delivery.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading client delivery, operations or client services within a digital agency, technology company or similarly fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex client relationships and delivery challenges.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to distinguish between support, scope changes and business priorities.
- Comfortable working in environments with ambiguity and limited direction.
- Formal qualifications are less important than proven experience delivering operational outcomes.
