Content Writer (Freelance)

Retainer: R9,600.00 - R12,000.00

Location: Remote

Hours Required: 20 hours per week

Main Responsibilities:

• Research, plan, and write content across multiple formats (blogs, articles, website copy, whitepapers, scripts, social posts, etc.).
• Optimise content for SEO using keyword research, metadata, and content briefs.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to understand client objectives and briefs.
• Edit, proofread, and participate in peer reviews to maintain editorial standards.
• Adapt writing style and tone to different industries, audiences, and platforms.
• Ensure timely delivery of content to meet client deadlines.
• Participate in internal and client-facing calls when required.
• Stay up to date with content, SEO, and industry trends.
• Adopt cutting-edge tools (including AI where appropriate) within company guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 1–3 years’ experience in content writing or editorial roles.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading ability.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to research and write across varied industries and topics.
