Senior AV/Multimedia Designer (Contract)

Retainer: R40 000 per month

Contract Duration: 3 months

Working Type: In-office

Working Location: Melrose Arch, Johannesburg

Hours: 40 hours weekly (08:30 - 17:00)

Main Responsibilities:

• Creative Execution & Design
  
  • Deliver high-quality motion graphics and animations aligned with briefs and business objectives.
  • Execute work across ATL campaigns, FOOH (social & digital out-of-home), and integrated campaigns.
  • Create visually compelling work that reflects brand tone, strategic direction, and audience insight.
  Concept Development
  • Contribute to conceptualisation of campaigns and ideas across multimedia formats.
  • Work collaboratively with the creative team in brainstorms to originate campaignable ideas beyond the brief.
  • Ideate across through-the-line formats, from digital-first to ATL and FOOH executions.
  Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Partner with designers, copywriters, and creative leads to align on creative direction and platform execution.
  • Support other departments by developing regionally relevant creative work tailored to platform and audience.
  Animation and Technical Production
  • Produce polished motion graphics and video edits using After Effects, Premiere Pro, and related tools.
  • Stay updated with design, animation, and platform trends to deliver cutting-edge work.
  Project Ownership
  • Manage own timelines and deliverables with full accountability from concept through to final file delivery.
  • Troubleshoot issues independently and adapt workflows for improved efficiency.
  Mentorship and Leadership
  • Inspire and guide junior and mid-level creatives, fostering growth within the AV team.
  • Role model professional conduct, creative ownership, and technical excellence.
  Strategic Contribution
  • Build a strong understanding of Osiris Trading’s products, customers, and territories.
  • Assist in shaping departmental creative benchmarks and tracking campaign success through relevant KPIs.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 6+ years in motion graphics and animation with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse work.
• Degree/Diploma in Animation, Multimedia Design, or related field (preferred).
• Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator (expert-level)
• Knowledge of 3D tools such as Cinema 4D or Blender (beneficial)
