Senior Project Manager (Freelance)

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be the operational heartbeat of multi-disciplinary client teams, including connecting strategy, execution, and performance. You’ll lead communication between clients and our cross-functional specialists (SEO, Paid, CRO, Content, CRM, and Design) to ensure every deliverable is on time, on budget, and on point. You’re not just a coordinator, you’re a strategic partner who understands the moving parts of digital marketing, can validate quality, and can turn business objectives into actionable, trackable plans.

About this position

Hourly Rate: up to R640

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Working Output: 20 - 25 hours per month (potential to increase)

Contract Duration: Month-month / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clarity, confidence, and alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Translate client goals into structured project plans, timelines, and deliverables using YDA’s frameworks.
  • Coordinate with SEO, Paid, Content, Design, and Analytics teams to deliver cohesive, data-driven campaigns.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and scopes by balancing velocity and quality.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and resource gaps; implement solutions before they become issues.
  • Contribute to strategic planning sessions and campaign reviews, turning performance data into actionable insights.
  • Maintain operational documentation and SOPs for scalability and knowledge transfer.
  • Apply quality assurance expertise, not just leading projects but stepping in to troubleshoot or implement when needed.

Technical Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in project or account management within a digital marketing, consulting, or agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing channels, including SEO, Paid Media, CRO, and Content Marketing.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and senior stakeholders simultaneously across time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to facilitate both client and internal team meetings.
  • Project Management: ClickUp (preferred), Asana, or Monday.com
  • Collaboration Tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Loom, and Drive
  • Analytics: Understanding of GA4, Looker Studio, and paid media/SEO dashboards
  • Bonus: Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., n8n, HubSpot, Supermetrics) and data-driven reporting workflows
