Brand Designer
We are a fast-growing UK-based dining discovery platform on a mission to help people find better places to eat while helping exceptional restaurants get the attention they deserve. As our brand expands into South Africa, we are looking for a Brand Designer to bring the brand to life across multiple touchpoints and channels. This role will play a key part in building and maintaining a fun, playful and highly recognisable brand presence. Working closely with the South African team and UK stakeholders, the Brand Designer will own creative projects from concept to execution, ensuring the brand feels exciting, consistent and unmistakably at every interaction.
About this position
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Multi-Channel Design Execution
- Create engaging visual assets across social media, email marketing, out-of-home advertising, branded merchandise, events and other marketing channels.
- Develop innovative concepts, designs and mock-ups that communicate the brand effectively.
Brand Consistency & Guardianship
- Ensure consistent application of our visual identity and brand guidelines across all channels and projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain brand consistency company-wide.
Project Ownership
- Manage design projects from concept through to final delivery, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
- Prioritise multiple projects while maintaining exceptional creative standards.
Creative Innovation
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to campaigns and activations.
- Stay up to date with design trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Champion bold, emotive and commercially effective creative work.
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing and social teams to bring campaigns to life.
- Collaborate with external agencies, freelancers and content creators when required, providing feedback and creative direction.
Technical Requirements:
- Degree, qualification or equivalent practical experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in Graphic Design or a similar creative role.
- Experience working in consumer brands, lifestyle brands, startups or fast-paced environments will be advantageous.
- Strong portfolio showcasing brand, campaign and digital design work.
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) – Required
- Figma – Preferred
- Basic UX/UI and web design skills
- Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
- Photography and videography skills – Advantageous
- Motion graphics and animation skills – Advantageous
- Understanding of digital-first design and social media content
