Junior-Mid Copywriter (Contract)

Retainer: R25,200

Location: Century City, Cape Town

Contract Duration: 3-months

Start Date: ASAP

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop clear, concise, and engaging copy across a range of channels and formats including:
  
  • CRM (emails, banners, push notifications, platform banners)
  • User flows (video and static)
  • App release notes
  • Employee training material
  • In-store screens
• Translate complex technical or product-related concepts into simple, digestible messaging
• Craft content that’s audience-aware and aligned to specific user journeys
• Contribute to internal comms and product campaigns with strategic messaging
• Collaborate with stakeholders to challenge and refine briefs where needed
• Align copy with overall campaign visuals and objectives in partnership with designers and marketers
• Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and brand messaging across all touchpoints

Qualifications & Technical Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ copywriting experience, ideally in product marketing, tech, or brand
• Proven ability to write clear, engaging copy across digital channels and formats
• Strategic thinker with a curious mindset and comfort in challenging briefs where necessary
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong grasp of brand tone and narrative
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, ideally within fast-paced environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Notion, and Google Workspace
• Experience using AI tools for research and ideation is a major advantage
