Junior DTP Designer (Contract)
The Junior Designer will be responsible for supporting the Internal Design Studio in creating high-quality digital and traditional design assets. The ideal candidate must have experience in DTP, print production, and image retouching, preferably having worked for a production house or a printer. They will work closely with Copywriters and internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and deliver engaging visual content.
About this position
Retainer: R26 600 per month (Depending on experience)
Location: Stellenbosch, CPT
Contract Length: ASAP - 31 August 2025 (possibility to extend)
Contract Type: Full-time Contract
Working Type: Hybrid (2 - 3 days a week in office)
Entry Requirements: Macbook (able to run up to date software), stable internet connection & Adobe Licenses
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Copywriters to translate written content into visually compelling designs.
- Design and deliver assets for digital and print applications.
- Handle print production processes, ensuring high-quality outputs.
- Conduct image retouching and enhancement as required.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the content library for Salesforce.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to meet design needs and project deadlines.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Design.
- 1-2 years of experience in a design role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital, print, and traditional design work.
- Experience in DTP, print production, and image retouching.
- Preferably worked for a production house or a printer.
Technical skills/software proficiency:
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Microsoft Office Suite.
