The Paid Digital Media Strategist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimising paid media strategies across multiple digital platforms for a variety of clients. This includes media planning, campaign setup, performance tracking, and reporting — with a focus on delivering strong ROI and meeting client KPIs.

Budget: R40,000 - R45,000

Location: Bedford View, Johannesburg

Working Type: In-office 3 days a week. (Mondays, Tuesday and Fridays)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting & Client Communication: Build and present clear, data-driven reports and media strategies; collaborate with clients on performance reviews and future plans.
  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: Develop end-to-end paid media strategies tailored to client goals, covering platforms like Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and programmatic platforms (e.g., DV360).
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Monitor daily performance, optimise campaigns for better CTR, CPC, and conversion metrics, and ensure effective budget pacing and delivery.

Technical Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Digital Marketing, Advertising, Media, or similar
  • 3–5 years’ experience in digital campaign management, preferably in an agency environment
  • Proven experience managing campaign budgets ranging from R10,000 to R500,000+ per month.
  • Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads
  • Google Analytics, Google Data Studio/Looker Studio
  • Familiarity with DV360 or other programmatic platforms a plus
  • Expected to stay current on digital media trends and platform updates in the South African market
  • Exposure to FMCG or eCommerce platforms (e.g. Rainmaker, Sixty60, Amazon) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of retail owned media and lead generation campaigns is a plus
