Product Marketing Lead

As Product Marketing Lead, you will play a key role in aligning product offerings with our brand and ensuring they resonate with our customer base. You will craft compelling value propositions, support go-to-market strategies, and help shape how our product benefits are communicated both online and offline. Working closely with product, design, tech, and sales teams, you'll lead insight-driven campaigns that promote product understanding, drive adoption, and increase customer engagement — all while contributing to broader brand growth efforts.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Campaign Execution & Product Marketing
  • Understand the full suite of our products and how they meet customer needs
  • Plan and execute campaigns to drive product usage, education, and adoption
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to stay aligned on roadmaps and releases
  • Translate technical product features into impactful messaging and creative briefs
  • Localise campaigns for audiences such as shopkeepers, agents, and partners
  • Support rollout of marketing collateral across online and offline channels
Partner & Field Activity Support
  • Collaborate with the Channel Lead: Partner Management to provide tailored marketing support
  • Coordinate KYC drives, awareness campaigns, and product pushes to key customer segments
  • Work alongside Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations to ensure execution in the field is effective and relevant
Data & Performance Analysis
  • Monitor and report on campaign and product marketing performance
  • Use data to inform future campaigns and optimise existing strategies
  • Share insights across marketing, product, and field teams for continuous improvement
Collaboration & Process
  • Work within agile marketing frameworks to test, refine, and launch campaigns rapidly
  • Align closely with the Head of Brand & Marketing to maintain messaging consistency and brand tone
  • Ensure all marketing material is current, relevant, and impactful
  • Document and share campaign learnings for future initiatives

Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in brand management or product marketing (essential)
  • Experience in fintech, telco, or FMCG sectors (advantageous)
  • Proven success supporting product development and launches (essential)
  • Understanding of informal markets and consumer behaviour (advantageous)
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills
  • Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or Business (essential)
