The Senior Account Manager – Corporate & Internal Communications operates as an embedded communications partner within a key corporate client environment. The role focuses on developing and delivering strategic internal and corporate communication initiatives that align business priorities with clear, effective messaging and employee engagement outcomes.
This position requires strong stakeholder management capability and the ability to navigate complex, highly regulated corporate environments. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating organisational strategy into impactful communication programmes that support alignment, transformation, and engagement across the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Client Partnership & Stakeholder ManagementInternal & Corporate Communication Strategy
- Act as the primary liaison between the agency and client business units.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, leadership teams, HR, and operational departments.
- Develop a deep understanding of organisational strategy, priorities, and culture.
- Operate as an embedded communications partner identifying proactive communication opportunities.
- Navigate governance structures, approval processes, and regulatory considerations.
- Support development and implementation of internal communication strategies.
- Provide strategic input into leadership messaging and organisational communications.
- Translate business priorities into structured messaging frameworks.
- Support initiatives including:
- Organisational change communication
- Leadership communication
- Employee engagement programmes
- Cultural transformation initiatives
Campaign & Project Management- Lead planning and delivery of integrated communication initiatives.
- Develop project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Brief internal agency teams and external partners clearly.
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Identify risks early and implement delivery solutions.
Strategic Advisory- Act as communications advisor to senior client stakeholders.
- Translate complex business information into clear, engaging communication.
- Recommend communication approaches supporting organisational alignment and transformation.
- Apply communications best practices within regulated industries.
Reporting & Insights- Monitor effectiveness of communication initiatives using relevant metrics.
- Compile performance and engagement reports.
- Use insights and feedback to optimise communication effectiveness.
Account Growth & Commercial Awareness- Support Account Director with account management and growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand communication initiatives across business units.
- Assist with project scoping, budgeting, and financial oversight.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship- Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and content teams.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment
Technical Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications, internal communications, brand management, or account management.
- Experience working within large corporate organisations or embedded client environments.
- Proven experience delivering internal communication or employee engagement initiatives.
- Experience in highly regulated sectors (mining, energy, healthcare, financial services) advantageous.
