E-Commerce Growth Manager (Contract)
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded E-commerce Growth Manager to take ownership of its Amazon UK marketplace channel and support the continued growth of the business. This is a hands-on execution-focused role where you will be responsible for managing marketplace performance, optimising product listings, supporting advertising campaigns, analysing performance data, and driving revenue growth across the channel. The ideal candidate will have experience within e-commerce, online retail, digital marketing, marketplace operations, or performance marketing and be excited to learn, experiment, and grow within a fast-moving founder-led business. Amazon experience is advantageous but not essential, as extensive training and established SOPs are provided. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and building long-term career growth within a scaling international e-commerce business.
About this position
Main Responsibilities:
Marketplace & E-commerce Operations
- Manage day-to-day performance of the Amazon UK marketplace channel
- Maintain product listings, catalogue health, pricing, and inventory visibility
- Support new product launches and marketplace growth initiatives
- Monitor account performance and proactively resolve operational issues
- Follow and continuously improve existing SOPs and operational processes
Performance Marketing & Growth
- Support and optimise marketplace advertising campaigns
- Monitor key performance metrics including ROAS, conversion rates, traffic, and revenue
- Conduct keyword research and identify growth opportunities
- Assist with A/B testing and continuous optimisation initiatives
- Analyse marketplace and customer data to improve performance
Brand & Customer Experience
- Ensure product listings accurately communicate the brand's value proposition
- Support review generation and reputation management initiatives
- Contribute to improving customer trust, conversion rates, and overall user experience
- Assist with external traffic and digital growth initiatives where required
Reporting & Analysis
- Track and report on key channel performance metrics
- Assist with revenue, profitability, and operational reporting
- Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth
- Support data-driven decision making through regular analysis and reporting
AI & Process Improvement
- Utilise AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other productivity tools to improve efficiency
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve workflows
- Contribute to the development and optimisation of company SOPs and processes
Technical Requirements & Qualifications:
- 2-5 years' experience within e-commerce, online retail, digital marketing, marketplace operations, or performance marketing
- Strong understanding of e-commerce fundamentals including ROAS, conversion optimisation, customer acquisition, and online sales performance
- Experience working with online stores, marketplaces, or digital commerce platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Amazon Seller Central (advantageous)
